Phase 2 of Making Room for Baby. And it's mostly complete. (You can see the pictures in the photo albums to the left, in "Making Room for Baby.") Last weekend we started the massive cleaning and organization effort with the ultimate goal of creating space for a nursery. But, we also desperately need to clean and reorganize all of our storage areas. So, first Khan started with the garage and I started with moving my scrapbook stuff. The scrapbook stuff needed to be moved to the kitchen so that the guest room could be moved to the old scrapbook room/office. The old guest room, the yellow bedroom, will be the nursery. The garage needed to be cleared out to fit a car inside and also to create some space for storage. Last weekend we accomplished those two goals.
This weekend we continued to clear out the old scrapbook room/office. We cleared out two closets full of crap, deciding to donate most of the crap. Now we have nicely organized closets with room for more crap. Then, we moved the furniture around to create the new guest room and mostly empty the nursery.
Next weekend we have a couple more closets to organize so that we can finish clearing out the closet in the nursery. Then, we'll be ready to fill the nursery with baby crap. And on that note, I think we've decided on this crib, from Ikea.
