Interview with an almost-6-year-old - a blog finale.

As has been the tradition since Lily was nearly 3, we sat down for our interview all about Daddy. Worth noting that this is the first year I didn't have to bribe her to get her cooperation.
me: What's your daddy's name?
lily: Khansith. That's his real name.

me: How old is he?
lily: Um....40.
me: Tell me what Daddy looks like.
lily: He wears t-shirts sometimes. Most of the time they are white. He has short, black hair. He wears black shoes. He wears a handkerchief in his pocket all the time.

me: He does?
lily: Well, sometimes he does. And he is smart.
me: Why is your daddy smart?
lilly: He knows every single answer of math correctly.
me: What's his job?
lily: He draws water things.
me: What does he do when he's at home?
lily: He changes Brendan's diapers, drinks coffee, takes showers, and rest-es.

me: What do you like to do with him?
lily: I like to read books with him.

me: What are your favorites?
lily: Daddy's favorite is The Daddy Book, my favorite is Lily Up and the panda book from the library at school.
me: What is your favorite thing to play with Daddy?

lily:  Legos, sometimes. Princess dolls. Rapunzel is his favorite and he gets to be Anna or Elsa. We pretend Eric is Hans and John Smith is Kristoff. Daddy gets to be Olaf.
me: Anything else you like to play with Daddy?

lily: Frozen. You said that already, and I said princess dolls. And we play with Madeline. And I like to cuddle with him.
me: What is Daddy's favorite food?
lily: Chocolate cake. And macaroni.
me: What is your favorite place to go with Daddy?
lily: Busch Gardens. We look at the animals. My favorite is the tigers and Daddy's favorite is the ostrich.
me: What do you do that makes your daddy happy?
lily: When I tell funny jokes.
me: like what?

lily: What do you get when your bones fall out?"
me: Uhhh...
lily: An empty body!

me: What does Daddy do that makes you laugh?
lily: He shakes his booty!
As for the other little in the house, Brendan's vocabulary is lacking, but I know a few things without having to ask.

For example, he would knock me over,
and trample over my fallen body,
just to get to his daddy.
This baby is such a daddy's boy that he not only calls his daddy "Daddy," but also Lily and me.

We are all "Da-deeee!" to Brendan.
This baby loves to cuddle, rest, and sleep snuggled up to his daddy.

And he loves to laugh and play with his daddy, too.

The only thing more obvious than how much these kids love their daddy...
is how much this daddy loves these kids.
Happy Father's Day to an amazing man, husband, and father. My life is better than I could have ever imagined because of you.

And with that, dear reader,  mom, it's time for me to officially say goodbye. I tried to breathe life into this blogging thing one last time, but I just don't got it anymore. Maybe one day I'll find it again. Until then, fare thee well.
